Last day of the creativity challenge.

Today is the 75th day of the 75 Day Creativity Challenge I've started back in the beginning of August. It's been an interesting and definitely the opposite of perfect journey. There were many days that I didn't complete every task on my list but overall, I think I did pretty well. I am not definitely doing more creativity now than I had done before and I've realized how the days when I'm able to complete everything on my list feel so much more fuller and enjoyable. I find myself wanting to fill my day with creative tasks than to just scroll on my phone or watch a ton of YouTube of other people doing things with their life. It's also helped me prioritize creativity more, even when I miss days. So, let me go through the final weeks of my challenge.

Physical Activity (30+ minutes)

Majority of the time, physical activity wasn't difficult for me to complete. I was able to stick really well to my strength training and I've been going on walks on my rest days. And since the weather has been getting cooler, I've been taking walks outside with my partner in the mornings or the late afternoon. My partner, who has also been doing the challenge with me, has been able to stick to an exercise routine for the first time in a very long time too.

Creativity Activity (30 minutes to an hour)

I think I've been able to finish off pretty strong with being consistent in creativity during the last couple weeks. It's been a constant struggle to continuously push myself to do something creative every day and to find the best time to do it. Ideally, I think the morning before work would be best when I don't go to the gym but I find myself getting distracted by life admin work and then it's time to start work. Other times, I'll save it for the evenings but I'm either too tired or not feeling it by then. Either way, I found myself mostly consistently doing my creativity in the evenings. I think I still have a lot of improvements to make with scheduling a more consistent time for creativity.

Reading/Journaling/Crocheting/etc.

Reading and journaling have been pretty consistent and easy for me to complete every single day, I may have missed one or two days of journaling but overall both of these were very successful. Crocheting was also successful for the most part, I tended to do a quick granny square while sitting on long meetings and didn't really take up any big projects. I've made a big stack of granny squares and might make a blanket with all of them.

What's next?

I have really enjoyed this challenge and would highly recommend if you're in a creativity rut and find yourself not prioritizing or making any time to do the things you enjoy. I'm not sure if I'll start another challenge with slightly different checklist items, but I do want to maintain my streaks and find a good, consistent time to dedicate for creativity for majority of the days of the week.
